BLAINE, Minn. — A case that began with allegations that a Blaine woman threatened to kill a victim and put her body in a stew ended with a misdemeanor disorderly conduct conviction and one year of supervised probation.

Alyssa Jean Kessler pleaded guilty on October 26, 2026, after the original felony threats of violence count was amended to misdemeanor disorderly conduct under a plea agreement. A separate misdemeanor domestic assault charge was dismissed.

Kessler was sentenced that day to 90 days in jail, with 83 days stayed for one year. She received seven days of credit for time already served, satisfying the portion of the sentence ordered served and leaving no additional jail time to complete under that sentence.

She was also placed on one year of supervised probation and fined $50. The conditions provided for this article include a prohibition on using mood-altering chemicals unless prescribed by a doctor.

The case stemmed from a police response to a residence in the 1500 block of 126th Avenue Northeast in Blaine on March 1, 2026. Officers were dispatched at approximately 12:20 p.m. after reports that Kessler was threatening the victim and was believed to have been drinking, according to the complaint account.

When officers spoke with Kessler, she reportedly told them she had become upset after spilling THC concentrate when the victim walked into the room.

Kessler admitted yelling at the victim, causing the victim to back away and fall into a chair, the complaint states. She also reportedly admitted threatening to shoot and kill the victim and to “cut up her body.”

According to the complaint, Kessler acknowledged that the victim was likely frightened by those statements.

The victim separately told officers that Kessler repeatedly threatened to shoot her, kill her, cut up her body and “put it in a stew.” The victim said she was terrified during the confrontation.

Her account also described Kessler yelling, hitting objects and stomping while keeping her trapped in a room, according to the complaint.

Prosecutors initially charged Kessler with felony threats of violence and misdemeanor domestic assault. She entered not-guilty pleas to both counts on May 20, 2026.

A jury trial that had been scheduled for July was canceled. The information supplied for this article does not identify the reason for that cancellation.

The case was resolved through the October 26 plea agreement. The conviction and sentence were for misdemeanor disorderly conduct. Kessler was not convicted of the original felony threats of violence charge, which was amended, or the domestic assault charge, which was dismissed.

The descriptions of the March confrontation above are allegations attributed to the original complaint and the statements it recounts. The supplied sentencing information does not establish that every allegation in that complaint was admitted as part of the disorderly conduct plea.
