ST. LOUIS PARK — Federal and state investigators conducted court-approved operations at multiple Minnesota locations Thursday, October 29, according to the FBI’s statements to local news outlets.
MPR News reported that Attorney General Keith Ellison confirmed his office’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit executed search warrants at Iska Inc. in St. Louis Park and Bright Horizon Therapy in Edina. Ellison described the businesses as providing autism care and other services funded by Medicaid. MPR also reported investigative activity in Rochester, without identifying a Rochester location in its update.
According to FOX 9, participating agencies included the FBI, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General, U.S. Postal Inspectors, IRS investigators, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the Minnesota Medicaid Fraud Control Unit.
FOX 9 crews observed investigators at a business center at 4200 Park Glen Road Thursday morning. WCCO also reported seeing law enforcement outside Iska’s offices in St. Louis Park.
Officials characterized the operations as “court-authorized investigative activity” and declined to provide additional details, citing the active investigation.
The reports reviewed for this article did not announce criminal charges or identify people arrested in connection with Thursday’s searches. The searches themselves do not establish that a business or individual committed a crime.
FOX 9 noted that the activity came ahead of Vice President JD Vance’s planned fraud-related appearance in St. Cloud on Friday, but said a connection between the searches and that announcement had not been established.
This is a developing story based on reporting available Thursday afternoon, October 29.
